William R. DeJean, raised in Des Allemands, Louisiana, is a 1988 graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education. He received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University School of Law in 1993 while obtaining a Certificate in Environmental Law. He currently resides in Jefferson, Louisiana.
He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the Northern District of Florida, and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.
Mr. DeJean's practice areas include general civil litigation, environmental law, commercial litigation, public sector defense, and National Flood Insurance Program litigation.
