A Louisiana native, Leslie A. Cordell is married to Chris Mouton with whom she has two (2) girls ages 21, and 19.  Leslie is a former registered nurse who received her Bachelor of Science degree at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 1981 and her Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University  in 1984.  An associate with Law Clinics of Louisiana from 1985-1989, Leslie joined Orrill, Cordell, & Beary, L.L.C., as a partner in 1989.

Leslie is an experienced attorney with an interest and focus in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. With training and experience working as a registered nurse for over 15 years, Leslie  brings a unique real world perspective into cases which involve medical issues.

Leslie’s practice includes medical malpractice, litigation as well as personal injury.  Leslie is a member of the Louisiana and Lafayette Parish Bar Associations in the latter of which Leslie is also a  Volunteer Lawyer. 

On January 13, 2005, as a guest speaker/faculty member of the Institute for Paralegal Education, New Orleans, Louisiana, Leslie presented a discussion entitled, "Medical Records Management for Louisiana Paralegals.”  As a guest lecturer at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Leslie additionally presented an informative discussion in 2001 regarding Professional Liability Topics for Registered Nurses.
